The games leading up to the 3 game finale were utterly fantastic.

Then they had everyone hooked.

The same 14 people that I watched the CWS with would not have watched yesterday. almost everyone I know spent yesterday on the beach, on a boat, at a camp or swimming.

Granted the heat might have adversely affected CWS attendance.

Based on viewers, the rest of the world was watching TV.

Whether it's the fued or not, even Disney was hurting for outdoor types on the 4th.

The rest of the world doesn’t care about July 4th or the college World Series. You are under the assumption that the viewership numbers would he huge because of a bunch of people who don’t have anything to do, don’t normally watch college baseball would be at home watching tv. That’s ridiculous bc if you didn’t watch it before, it being the 4th of July won’t change that and you lose millions of viewers who don’t sit inside watching tv on the 4th of July. Also there is no guarantee of a championship game even being played on the 4th with best of 3 series.

When people are off? You mean like Saturday and Sunday? The CWS last for 11 days spanning 2 weekends, if you want to watch you are going to watch, unless you have something better to do…like celebrate the 4th of July with your family.
