You don’t just have a starting pitcher, there is a bullpen. Closers pitch more than once In a weekend but not twice in the same day. Why you think teams don’t schedule double headers in advance and try to avoid them at all costs? Your ideas have become so ridiculous it’s like you’re trolling at this point. Let’s schedule a scenario that we try to avoid all season to determine the national championship, great idea. There is a reason coaches will have their teams sit around for hours waiting to play if they think the weather will pass.

Your argument in favor of protecting a deep bullpen demolishes your argument in favor of trotting out wasted starters.

For the pitching staff, this scenario can resemble a double header

It was winner take all one game over 30 years ago when Wichita state still never got a second loss but were not called champs

My argument is maybe you should try to find something to do on the Fourth of July instead of sitting in front the tv wishing something was on it. Your suggestion of a double header for the national championship is silly. Maybe you should concentrate on fixing the football championship so we don’t have to watch 65-7 NC beatdowns. Don’t you find it odd that all the other national championships are on Monday nights? It’s as if they don’t want to compete with anything so they pick a night that most people don’t have anything else to do

I appreciate your argument on this. It's strong.

My only angle is "options. "

    1) Best possible product.
    (includes it's own warts. )

    Most viewers available.
    (to chose as they wish)

The championship was between lsu and wake forest, just like in CFP it was between Georgia and Ohio state. You either follow it all or don’t, trying to guarantee the best game/games comes at the very end is impossible and rarely happens. Want to watch the best games? Watch the postseason in its entirety, of any sport.

If the game was Tuesday the 4th, you you would have gotten this right.

The CWS championship was between LSU and Florida.

They way it works now we didn't win the national championship, why not let him suggest other ways, maybe something changes maybe something doesn't.
Didn't mlb just change a lot of things?

The college baseball season already extends beyond the spring semester by weeks. How long should college baseball last into summer?
