PAC 12 has no interest in CUSA schools. Want big market schools in Houston, Dallas & San Antonio, ie. SMU, N Texas, UTSA and Rice. Maybe even Tulsa and Memphis allowing expansion into Central Time Zone, especially if they lose schools to the Big 12. And, there are other schools in the MWC they can poach. Will be interesting to see what the MWC does if they lose several schools. MWC should really consider UTEP and NMSU to keep a western footprint in a G5 conference. They won't pay enough to lure teams from the Central Time Zone.

The big thing is that AAC at this point would surpass PAC 12, or 8 if you will and actually become the 5th Autonomous ie; P5conferece. Their chances to get into the playoffs much better than pac 8.

Of course the Big XII might be willing to take key PAC 12 members

They remnants grab the WAC football teams for logistical purposes. Texas State would probably be the only one tempted to go west.

This is what the WAC/A-Sun and McLeast group has been banking on.

P5 and G5 will not be a thing anymore in 2024 with the new playoff format. It’s the highest ranked 6 conference champs that get an auto bid.

Never was a real thing. They put the NCAA on notice that they were autonomous and that the NCAA would have to knuckle under or they would bolt. Since then the Pac 12 through bad leadership has only the name but has lost being the club.

I think the four corners schools could bolt before Washington and Oregon.

Very well could happen if the PAC can’t deliver a decent TV package.

I would imagine they wouldn't be making this move unless they had some serious behind the scene discussions that would indicate they are all but in..

PAC 12 makes sense for SDSU even in its current state. At the same time B12 makes more sense for Colorado at this time. We'll see if they give notice by June 30th. There's momentum for it. Certainly all scenarios are being vetted, but from afar it seems like PAC12 should invite SDSU, Boise, and Gonzaga if their new network partners approve.
