In the thread that I named “Looking for help”, I posted the link to a donation page for my travels for Louisiana football.

Thanks to all who have donated and have supported me, because as of 8PM, I have reached $255 of my $2,000 goal, which is 12%. That kicks ass, and it’s indicative of how supportive you guys are of me and my journeys in Cajuns’ journalism.

Unfortunately PayPal (where all of these donations bank to) will only let me instantly obtain the first $200 (which means y’all have been kicking ass even more) until I can fix it.

At this pace, I will reach above and beyond the goals I had set forth. If the rate stays as it is (which I do not expect because I understand that people will only donate once), I will reach $2,805.

I want to once again thank you all for helping me out, and if we can get this goal done, I promise that I will pour my gratitude and support into my writing.

Do you know anyone in SGA? I think they could write an appropriation to give money to the Verm specifically for you to travel. (At least if things still work the way they did 20 years ago)

Yeah it would have to be after the fall semester starts. But I assume you don’t need all of this money in hand immediately anyway.

ODU is based in Norfolk va. Not to be confused with Norfolk state in Norfolk va. By the way that is pronounced Nor _____. Not Nor Folk. The locals wi get mad if you pronounce it wrong. Similar to App a latch en state rather than App a Lache en State.

Does The Vermilion not get a spot on the team charter anymore? Man, if so, that’s a shame. While I doubt many (if any) do that anymore, that was the perk for me.

Also paid for my room and gracious media and press box covered my meals. Miss those days!
