    Good summation. And with Louisiana's wage index approximately 75% of the national average its a tough sell convincing folks raising tuition and fees will be good for them. Especially considering how much tuition and fees have increased the past 15 years, outpacing inflation versus wage growth on balance has not kept pace with inflation.

    One of the poorest states in the country with the 26th GDP.

    That is a good point. Also when comparing low numbers to high numbers a smaller increase to the lower number could still result in a higher percentage increase, but hey were tier 1 now (or were the posters not inspected)
