St. Thomas University in St. Paul Minnesota.

They moved from D3 to D1 in 2020 and are a member of the Summit Conference.

She is listed as a shortstop for the Tommies. I assume that she might move to 2B for us or Langeliers may move to 2B, but one of our weakest spots was 2B especially now that Stormy is moving on. This should solidify the middle infield for us.

The Tommies did not have a great season, but they are familiar with Acadiana, they played in the Mardi Gras Mambo Classic in Youngsville against Northwestern State (Lost 3-5), Nicholls (won 4-3), La Tech (won 3-0), SLU (lost 2-10) and Houston Christian (won 4-3).

And she was by far the best player on the team.

STM's Gabbie Stutes will also be joining the fold... She's solid. Should be fun to watch... I would think she would compete for a middle infield spot.

Assuming no more players leave for the portal, the top returning 2B, SS and 3B are Vasquez, Langaliers and Hayden. There is no questioning Vasquez's defense. If she hits at all, she will play. Unless Langaliers' bat just goes silent, she is going to play. Hayden is a swiss-army knife who could play 6 of the 9 positions effectively.

I expect both transfers to push hard for playing time and insure we have a really strong hitting and defensive IF, next season.
