No problem, I actually got "confirmation" without them actually saying it from someone high up in the budget process on a few things. People would be surprised at the money sent to local festivals, church fairs, & parks for no reason what so ever except to buy votes. I mean, why the hell are we sending $100,000 to the McKinley High Alumni Association? Anyone who knows Page Cortez can ask him directly.
"You scratch my back, and I will scratch yours." That is why people are moving out, and we have a dwindling tax base in this state. It's also the same reason why we are 50th in everything.
Is there a rule of thumb when it comes to cost of renovation as a percent of original price?
I.e. is it financially feasible to pay more to renovate something than it had originally cost?
Isn't that why insurance claims on car wrecks are capped at the "totaled value". So you don't end up paying 20000 to repair a car worth only 5000?
