Thread: Gunner Leger Back on Board

UL Baseball Gunner Leger Back on Board

This is going to be a really cool addition. Ragin Cajun baseball
is looking to hire former All-American lefthander Gunner Leger as the Director of Pitching and Analytics for the Cajuns.

Was wondering when this was going to break. Found out a couple days ago.

I presume this is a new position which differs from the standard pitching coach role. Am I correct in that view?

Can’t see how that would work unless it is a position that is allowed to be in the dugout/bull pen . . .

    Fantastic!

Although I did not know who it would be, my hope was that they would hire someone to help with pitching. Although they seemed to overachieve towards the end of the year, our bullpen was suspect for most of the year. (says Mr. Obvious) Hiring a former Ragin Cajun great for the position is a big plus. Now dad and son now have the same employer, maybe they can carpool.

Back to the most important part of this thread…this is great news. Pitching coach or not, having him back in any capacity is a good thing.

Rumor is we are losing another Coach.

My primary goal for this off-season has apparently been achieved just a week after we were eliminated. Absolutely fantastic news. Very happy to have Gunner back in Vermillion and White where he belongs. If he has great success as our pitching coach, number retirement?

Nothing is guaranteed, but man this feels right. Glad they worked it out.

I feared that would happen. A head coach waiting in the wings and a former head coach on staff.
