We could cheat, you know . . . Make yellow Red . . . Make App St Louisiana . . . Make Yosef Club RCAF . . .
Maybe it's a statewide tour...
Does anyone have an update on our sales?
Any reason for optimism?
I don’t agree with it but I honestly believe a major push will happen ONCE construction begins. Unfortunately, that may not be for a while.
Bro we will never be App St. Never, ever, ever be them. What they do will not work here because our student body, administration, fan and alumni don’t want it. They aren’t connected to the university the way the boys on the mountain are.
Just stop, all it is is more frustration.
Let's give them credit for their tradition for years.
Now reality.
They are not 45 miles away from any P5 program, nor are they close to any program that has won multiple national championships since 2000.
App St. is 102 miles from Charlotte, 167 miles from Durham, 189 miles to Raleigh and 163 miles from Chapel Hill.

We have all this staff that just got promoted to very important sounding titles. Some with “marketing” attached. I sure hope they are working. Having anxiety thinking about walking into Cajun field this year, looking around and thinking “again?”
Whole other off-season to think and plan after seeing the sad attendance results from last year. Show something. Be transparent about your efforts. Don’t get complacent and ride on the coattails of the success of other sports this year. Football takes work to hook folks outside of your core group.
In a metro of 500-650k that feel more connected to TSAB.
My guess is App State's casual/bandwagon fans follow UNC basketball (App State basketball following is nonexistent) the way casual Cajun fans follow LSU. But there was a vacuum for a winner in football in that state, and App State fit the bill.
Same reason there's a lot of Cowboy fans in South LA from the 80s/90s teams that aren't Saints fans.
We have LSU.
They have UNC, Wake, NC St, ECU, Duke and Charlotte to deal with.
Each program draws well over there. The excuse we use is LSU when the reality is we haven’t developed a fan base. We haven’t provided Acadiana with a reason to support athletics.
The University treats fans like 2nd class citizens and doesn’t foster a sense of inclusion like LSU does. Instead we drive fans away in droves with our messaging.
I don’t blame Maggard, that solely at the feet of the last two Martin Hall administrations.
