I will start with mine
Number 1. Casablanca. Great dialogue. A bit cheesy in spots.
Number 2. Ben Hur. Great story, great music by Miklos Rozas. He had to create Roman music because it wasn't written.
Number 3. Lawrence of Arabia. Great story, great acting.
Then in no particular order
Patton . There was no way George C Scott was not going to win the academy award. As historically accurate as a movie could be.
The outlaw Josey Wales. " Wish we had time to bury them fellas". To hell with them fellas......buzzards gotta eat same as worms".. Man with a vendetta and nothing else to do.
Bullit....Steve McQueen. Enough said. Not one chase scenes but 3.
Forrest Gump....a movie about everything and nothing. A movie about life. And that's all I have to say about that.
To kill a mockingbird.... Gregory Peck.
Gandhi..... Great story...great acting
Gotta have a Hitchcock movie so I pick North by Northwest. Psycho not far behind.
