The character who was called "All the way Mae" from A League of their own in real life worked at the Texaco Golf Course in east Houston in her late 70s. True to form she was hitting on my neighbor in the pro shop before we played 1 day about 10 years ago( he was about 40).

Great point. But I was under the impression people only wanted to post obscure movies. Reminds me of lunch threads. "Mine is the best because nobody else heard of it" mindset, lol

Number 1. Casablanca. Great dialogue. A bit cheesy in spots.

Number 2. Ben Hur. Great story, great music by Miklos Rozas. He had to create Roman music because it wasn't written.

Number 3. Lawrence of Arabia. Great story, great acting.

    Then in no particular order

Patton . There was no way George C Scott was not going to win the academy award. As historically accurate as a movie could be.

The outlaw Josey Wales. " Wish we had time to bury them fellas". To hell with them fellas......buzzards gotta eat same as worms".. Man with a vendetta and nothing else to do.

Bullit....Steve McQueen. Enough said. Not one chase scenes but 3.

Forrest Gump....a movie about everything and nothing. A movie about life. And that's all I have to say about that.

To kill a mockingbird.... Gregory Peck.

    Gandhi..... Great story...great acting

Gotta have a Hitchcock movie so I pick North by Northwest. Psycho not far behind.
    How do you leave out:

    Godfather I & II
    Shawshank Redemption
    Dances with Wolves

A couple of good obscure movies:

    Revenge
The Art of Racing in the Rain

I've got some right down your wheel house Mullet.
Bullworth- (Worst of a bunch of BAD Warren Beatty movies)
The Royal Tannenbaums- ( The biggest waste of movie talent in the history of Hollywood).
Cocaine Bear- ( the reason I will never pay twelve bucks to see a movie ever again.)

I'm not doubting you didn't dig it, but don't you think there is some "group think" at play here? Only asking bro, not contending.

    Let's Geaux.
Not sure what you mean on the group think thought, but I am rewatching GOT again & enjoying it as much as the first time. HOWEVER, If anything there is no freaking way Jon Snow gets away with killing Denaryus without unsullied & Dothraki rolling the dice to behead him as popular as she became. Just because she had to french fry a few people to take of King's Landing, the She had a LONG way to go to get to Cersie insanity, or her little monster Joffrey.

I could have written the ending way better than that garbage they put out in the last season. That's why I can't stand most series on HBO. They ruined the Sopranos & they destroyed the greatest series ever with that last disappointing attempt to rush to an ending. Jon snow should have been the one to kill the night king, even Reek would have been a better choice than Arya. Arya should have been the one to kill Cersei along with giving the Hound & the Mountain a little push off the cliff. Denaryus should have been the queen with Bran as the hand. And that pathetic diatribe Tyrion had to justify why Bran was the best choice for king was just HORRIFIC! That ruined his character. Talk about a major disappointment for GOT fans.
