I really like Marusak. He does so much for this team … especially defense and the pressure his speed puts on opponents. But his lack of discipline at the plate really keeps him from taking his game to the next level.

Leys just finished walking Willis on four pitches …
and Marusak swings at the first pitch high and well out of the zone (not even a breaking ball … but a not at all close fastball). He then strikes out on a breaking ball in the dirt. He needs to do a better job of understanding the situation and executing accordingly. Leys was on the ropes and he was let off the hook.

Fortunately Debo saved the inning.
