According to the ncaa rules (or “general guidelines”), a regional game shouldn’t start after 11pm local. And no game should start before 12 noon local time on Sunday.

The later we start, the later the next game starts. And the later the next game starts, the less time the losing team has to prepare for us if we win today.
Everything is later, and downtime between tonight’s last game and tomorrow’s first game is diminishing.
Nobody is playing baseball anytime soon, if the radar is any indication.
If there is no more lightning, and all clear will be given at about 1235 central time. First pitch would be roughly 45 minutes later.
Seems to be some confusion.
Today - Saturday

NO other games scheduled for Saturday
Sunday
Winner of our game plays loser of Texas/Miami scheduled for 12:00 EDT
Winner of above game plays winner of Texas/Miami scheduled for 6:00 EDT
Monday
If necessary game should Texas/Miami lose Sundays game.
The committee has freedom to rearrange schedules as it sees fit due to delays (weather). Pretty certain they cannot extend it beyond Tuesday. Unless something has changed they allow a max of three games in a day.
If we play two in a day, it will be Sunday . . .
The 2015 Houston regional had to be adjusted after Saturday was washed out. What ended up happening was that both championship games were scheduled for Monday instead of just the if necessary game.
Sunday had three games (technically four if you consider Houston and Rice going 20 innings in the losers bracket final).
Down in Tampa they have a very good rock station. I listen every morning until 10am
