It says that in postseason, all games must be 9 innings….
The women, however, have already had TWO run-rule game in the WCWS…..

Because Baseball and Softball are two different sports.

Absolutely not and if I'm the head coach and get wind of this someone isn't having a good day.

….Can’t see a reason to have players coach the bases……BUT we were certainly one of the best HSs in the country at Jesuit in the 60s state/national/ regional champs more than once….dreaded days were 2-3 hours of base running instructions with coaching the bases….angle of stance, how far from the line, how to cup your hands for sound, progressive defensive movement….it was crazy, but we all listened!…. Oh and won a LOT!

Softball, there is not heavy wear and tear on a pitching staff, so run rule doesn’t matter.

With men, you want each team to get 27 outs to keep the wear on each team near even; extra innings, so be it.
