This is a perfect example of when you have a pitcher in trouble, you need to take advantage and not let him settle in. Miami had the bases loaded in both the first and second innings … and could push nothing across the plate against Lebarron Johnson Jr. After 130 pitches, LJ had a complete game win.

A&M breaks a 4-4 tie in the T8th against Stanford with a bases loaded, bases clearing double down the LF line to lead 7-4.

Wow. Troy SS (Cobb) just blew the throw to first on a routine ground ball that would have ended the game. Two runs score and Bama now leads 9-8.

Troy also made a mistake on the prior at-bat. With runners at first and second and one out. Bama leadoff hitter Jarvis hit a ball to deep CF (not quite to the warning track) … where it was caught by Myers. But instead of throwing it in to second base, he threw it towards third … where he had no shot at getting the runner tagging from second to third. This allowed the runner from first to move up to second … and put the go ahead run at second.

Keeping that runner at first may also have allowed Cobb (Troy SS) to get the force at second to end the game. Mistakes all around.

Did you see Myers not making the correct throw into the infield after recording the second out of the inning? That could have made that final play to end the game an easier force at second base.
