Both upsets. John Cohen is taking a lot of heat for proclaiming ignorance Monday of the northeast teams the NCAA picked.

Penn (98 RPI) and Xavier (41 RPI) bounced Auburn (29 RPI) and Vandy (7 RPI).

Cohen is the AD at Auburn which was hosting with a 29 RPI. Sounds sketchy.

P5 conference schools seem to get RPI weight in their favor somehow. Parity seems to run deeper this year.

Not that I think Auburn deserved to host, much less awarded a #13 seed ... but to be fair, Auburn had an RPI ranking of 19 at selection time. The #29 ranking is due to the dismal performance in their own regional.

Yes, he was not ready to go. By the rule, the correct call was made. You just hate to see it in that situation.

Penn did win the Ivy tournament. Cohen is getting heat for sticking them in the Auburn regional. They are a legit team and got hot.
