UL has restaurants/bars that are substantial sponsors for our athletic department. These sponsors aren't making donations. They are making investments. Part of that investment is getting people into their establishments for our games. That is your answer to this whole watch party issue.
People will attend those watch parties regardless. There’s a reason why professional organizations and large schools around the country do this kind of thing.

I'm not arguing a point with anyone. I am stating a fact. Not sure if it is contractual with sponsors or just an "understanding" but it is the reason.

Just participating in your comment. There isn’t a one size fits all approach. We are a fanbase that is desperate for fan engagement, outreach and cultivation. Until we have a robust following, any and every decent avenue should be considered, in my opinion.

The games in 2015 were the super regional in Baton Rouge, not the Houston regional. Game 1 started on Saturday at 7:00 and Game 2 was Sunday at 6:00. You can see it all in the video in the first page of this thread.

The park was open for the regional as well. The videos are from the Supers, yes.

If the university owned the CajunDome, watch parties could be held there. Heat issue not a factor in that scenario

Why not use the softball park? It's more intimate, has a huge screen and the sound system is good.

It was always good until they played the Get to know your Cajuns segment, couldn't hear anything. Nice idea Roarman. Tweet that out to Maggard.

The University does "own" the Cajundome.

Unfortunately they signed a deal relenquishing virtually all control with only a few dates of choice.
