What do we know about Texas

They win the Big XII ... they are better than their RPI rank. Very good pitching and defense (as usual) ... but not necessarily the dominant shut down pitching they have had in the past. Plenty of power, especially when you consider their 85 HRs in that cavernous ballpark (especially the way the win typically blows). They can score.

Louisiana will need to be on their game to beat Texas. Tough matchup. But they have done it before.

I’m so happy for this team. These guys spilled their guts to make this happen. Really excited that they were rewarded for it.

And a big congrats to Coach Deggs. He takes a lot of heat for his methods, but it’s now back to back regional seasons and this one as an at large team. Very happy for him and his staff.

Now go to Miami and prove the committee right!!

Even though South Carolina might have been the last assigned host (hotly debated) ... I knew they would not get the #16 seed ... and assign that to Indiana State.
