I will not defend many pitching decisions by our coaching staff today or this year, but starting Christie today was not a bad call. Just didn’t work out.

They were not going to start him today after getting him hot and throwing him in the 9th last night. And I also do not think starting Christie was a bad call. But I wanted Rawls to start. I also feel Christie coming out of the pen is more effective.
