Bab talking about how we wanted to play great baseball this weekend, so regardless of what happens here we accomplished what we set out to do this weekend. Call me crazy, but I don’t get that man. We lost a series to a conference foe. They are a great team, but how do you go in to a conference series with a goal less than winning 2/3?

I see us making a run in the tournament but not winning it all. Lack of pitching and decisions regarding them will doom us.

This weekend had a conference tournament feel to it. And seeing what the back end of the pen looked like in a big situation today…I can’t see any path to winning the tourney.

If this was the tournament, even with a win today, there would be another one (maybe two) to play. Who in the world would even be available to get on the mound??

Losing McGehee, Theut, and Hammond just killed this season man. And it’s a shame. Like Dad04 said, this team is a whole lot of fun to watch on offense and defense. But you can’t win with only 4 or 5 guys that can get on the mound and not be a disaster.

I think you are right that we don't have the arms to get through a tournament, which honestly makes it all the more baffling what we did with Marshall today. Surely these coaches getting paid to do this can see that we can't afford to burn one of our betters arms on one guy with a staff this thin.
