I love it. They recycle the same useless arguments each time this comes up. Some posters on there defending us with facts do the same and TSATB fans don't want to hear it. And it's sad that it comes up a lot with a fan base that doesn't care? 8 pages and counting!!!

Everyone knows that people that use that designation are often doing it out of spite. They say as much on there.

Most, if not all advertisers on any Delta platform have no idea they're running spot on 103.7...most of what you hear day to day there are businesses that have purchased a multi station package on Delta to include trade spots and no charge/bonus spots. Delta is making an upgrade, they recognize an upgrade can be monitized. A sponsor boycott will not move the needle...What will move the needle is calling or emailing the local owner, Charles Chatlain...you may get traction there...

Years ago, the school did an incredibly bad job of explaining to the public, the correct and legal use of it's name and by extension, brand...even today, it's comical to see all of the name variations used by various departments etc, on campus...looking at you alumni association...UL is happless to correct any of this, now, in the past, or future...

UL Lafayette is the approved academic abbreviation for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as per the university itself. Louisiana is athletics nickname. Note neither ULL or UL-Lafayette is to be used in any instance (Listed under Inaccurate References). Don't blame the academic departments or Alumni Association for using UL Lafayette as they are allowed to.

Not a knock on you, I appreciate the research.

The law clearly states University of Louisiana must be followed by "at" no less than 80% the size of the schools name.

UL is short for University of Louisiana thus requiring the "at" so, simply using the abbreviation does not erase the required "at."

What Louisiana is using academically, is illegal according to the legislation.
