UL only markets to Lafayette, LSU hyper-markets to the whole state.

Also 30,000 isn’t close to being the largest crowd at the Swamp, or to see a UL main attraction football game. So 30,000 left generous room for the self marketed.

    LOL a lot . . .

I LOL also when some unkowingly claim that 1/3 of Tiger Stadium is filled by a population base of 121,000 while the other 2/3 is filled by population base of 4.5 million.

There was a time when this town turned and was trending predominantly Verm & White. And then, the powers that be squashed all momentum that we had, including a political hatchet job. It’s never been the same since.

And now, with the changing climate of collegiate athletics and apathetic donors, we’re on the verge of collapse.

How about the guy who claims that none of the fans that go to the swamp from time to time come from the 40 bed room towns surrounding Lafayette or that they are not Tiger fans attending because there was no conflict . . .

Been driving from Marksville with my crew of 5 for years. The crew next to me of 5 who I went to college with drive from Pineville. Been doing it for years. So that’s at least 10 that do not live in Lafayette that go to home football games and have season tickets. Lol.

Solution for all of UL's problems, win and keep winning in everything!

There are plenty of others like me still around.
Yes there are, I am one. But I listened to a radio station in Lake Charles. Also, Larry Dierker on the mound.

You sure picked a good one; it was sad to see his career shortened because he was talented.

Call someone a drunk. Insult their family. Play the victim. I’m not sure how much time you spent in Baton Rouge, but you sure assimilated to their “culture.”

We had 50,000+ fans show up in New Orleans for our first bowl game. That should be our ceiling in Lafayette. How do we get that back?

First, you confuse the timeline. I was called a fraud on Twitter for making an observation that did not attack anyone. That's when I came here and posted a sentiment that many people hold, but few are willing to say because it puts them in Mat's crosshairs.

Link to where I called someone a "drunk"? Guy has gone on rants numerous times and then comes back the next morning and says "I drank too much." My comment about him drinking too much was after he went on a rant directed at me at night where he called me a fraud. If the shoe fits, wear it.

I never insulted the mans family. The man brought up his wife in a post that replied to my post saying something along the lines of I was eyeballing his wife. He was apparently talking about Vic. I was not the only one that thought he was talking about me. Turbine's selective deletion of posts didnt make that clear. I even texted the dude to try and clear that up. I sincerely would never bring his wife into any conversation on here. Im sure she is a great woman. No idea who she is.

I spent three years in BR. I have attended a grand total of 0 LSU events since that time. I have donated $0 to that school. I give money to UL. I have volunteered for UL. I go to UL events. I have season tickets to football (I have missed maybe 1-2 home football game since 2010) and baseball. Yet, when I brought an observation about him attacking people on twitter, I was called a fraud. Come on man.
