Thread: 103.7 The Game to become ESPN Lafayette and ESPN Lake Charles

I hope everyone has been reading some of my LinkedIn responses to all of the different groups that UL Lafayette us to death. Some have changed, some did not. They instead call me a bully. I will not stop with correcting these idiots until the name is correct. You should not stop either!

By way of comparison, in 2015 LSU had an SEC game in Tiger Stadium where season tickets were not involved and only 42,058 were in attendance.

Since LSU is hypermarketed to the whole state that represents 1% of their market.

A low water mark to be sure but certainly not indicative of overall interest.

The first thing you see entering Lafayette from the West is Don’s flying the LSU flag directly above the UL flag. That sentiment is woven into the fabric of this city.
Best Stop is a UL supporter

Solution for all of UL's problems, win and keep winning in everything!
Negative dude Astros fan here, I guess those people were bandwagon fans because of winning right? Astros is the closest market to Lafayette

You have hundreds of thousands of fans, students and alums of other universities that would agree. Plus, a large percentage of the population that just don't care either way.

Yes, we need to do better promoting our own brand. Especially in our own city. But, UL still outnumbers purple fans in Lafayette.
Ul fans don't out number TSAB fans in Lafayette.

Mike you do know that the university goes by one name academically and one DIFFERENT name athletically?

In my opinion its about 50% TSAB/UL split fans and 25% UL only, 25% TSAB. Those split fans tend to follow TSAB more than UL. This is how I see it, I’d love to be wrong and have UL rule the Lafayette fanbase.

    Yes they do.

There has never been, and there will never be 30,000 fans from Lafayette in Tiger Stadium.

There have been that many fans from Lafayette in The Swamp.

This is not correct. You really think only fans from Lafayette go to the swamp . . .
