I’m ok with not hosting but that draw is a big FU from the SEC/P5 biased committee. Let’s stomp them into the ground.

Obviously not hosting is disappointing. But they got a good draw in #3 seed Omaha (#97 RPI ranking) ... which would not have been an at-large team had they not won the conference auto bid. This levels the playing field a bit against LSU, not giving them an explicit pitching advantage in a potential second round winner's bracket matchup. And win that ... and you get a very good, but beatable Washington team ... if the Huskies win their regional.

Yeah if you are going on the road this isn't horrible. We know LSU, the field, the atmosphere, and we have two other teams that are beatable.

I mean, I do think we got screwed having to go to the 10 seed.

That said, we were 1-1 vs LSU this season. Clearly a better team?

The last host spot had to come down to Clemson, Baylor, and Louisiana. I think Louisiana was #18. Maybe even Auburn was in the mix (due to conference finish), but no better than #18. But their RPI was an extreme stretch. They would have needed a better conference tournament performance.
