Finished 2nd in the Summit League and won that tournament to get into the NCAA.
Beat wins look to be Iowa and Iowa state, but those were not tournament teams. They did beat Southeastern 3-2.

    RPI takes EVERYTHING into consideration.

I takes into consideration the "things" that make, a team a Quad, One, Two or Three ect and rewards accordingling a win or a loss etc.

Cherri Picking portions of what made the RPI, the RPI is the travesty.

    It’s a moving goal post.

Well this year, we placed a big emphasis on top 10 wins. Then maybe we’ll look at head to head. Then SOS. Whatever fits our narrative this year.

Thats the whole problem with playoff committees. No consistent framework from yr to yr. But thats the NCAA for u

There is replay this year. There will not be a foul ball that is called a home run. There will not be a tag out at the plate and the runner call safe.

    Let's hope so!

Just because there will be replay doesn't mean the call will be corrected if necessary. But there is at least hope it will be.

Very true. And replay can do nothing about the strike zone they will employ against us. We might have to beat the umps too.

With the SEC, BIG10, ACC and PAC12 gaining strength to discuss self-governance, perhaps this is the NCAA's way of coercing them to stay put. If we hook you up in Women's Sports.....let us keep Football and Basketball.

I doubt that. Softball revenue and status compared to football is mere pocket change in the overall schedule. It’s the NCAA’s Tittle IX go to “look at what we did” for women.

Very winnable regional for the Cajuns. In fact, the law of averages says it's the Cajuns year to finally win in Baton Rouge after so many years of defeat. LSU is very beatable this year. Cajun bats just need to show up. Cajuns have the pitching, just need the bats to be there. I do believe that if they had beat UCLA and Arkansas in Clearwater and had not been swept by Texas and Florida, they would have stood a great chance to have hosted. They have seen LSU's pitching twice this year already. They just need to score some runs. And Glasco needs to not be his own worst enemy like he has sometimes been in regards to in-game roster moves as to pitching and pinch hitters.
