Thread: Former Tulane Head Football Coach Buddy Teevens

  1. Default Former Tulane Head Football Coach Buddy Teevens

Sad news, former Tulane Head Football Coach Buddy Teevens, most recently the HC at Dartmouth for the past 17 years was forced to step down because he had his right leg amputated because of a bicycle accident recently.

Teevens had an up and down career as a HC, but has been fairly successful at the D-1AA/FCS level and not nearly as successful as a D-1A/FBS coach. As a HC he has an overall record of 151-178-2, but at the FCS level his record is 130-110-2, while between Tulane and Stanford in FBS, his record was only 21-68.

That is sad; I hope he is able to recover and continue his life without much issue.

I saw him on the sidelines during a Dartmouth / Harvard game this past season and remembered him from his Tulane days. I'll stop now because I think I am sounding like Boomer.

Was he the coach that started the Manning Passing Academy summer football camp at Nicholls?
