IMO, the only way we don't host is if we lose today. Even then, there's a chance, though not a very big one. Getting up to 6 and having several other things fall our way [most of which are not likely to happen] might actually put us in position to be a 7 or 8 seed, meaning we not only host a regional, but if we win the Regional we would host a Super.

We are not a Top 8 national seed under these conditions (RPI ranking of 6). The resume is significantly deficient under that lens. Nor should we … did not earn it.

Keep moving up and avoid the 16. Getting greedy, I know.

We basically beat ucla once. At least had them on the ropes for 6 and a bit. There’s hope there if we were 15. Would it be tough. Totally. But not as tough as being paired with OU should we host and win the regional.

    I know, but I am a fan[atic]... I can't help being overly optimistic.

Iowa State is putting the screws to Baylor.

We definitely want Florida to finish well. We cannot have them falling out of the RPI Top 25 (most important thing) … and we want the RPI boost. Florida is not safe in this regard.
Florida looking good. Baylor … not so much.

Florida does their part.. Beat Kentucky 6-2

Stephen F. Austin getting hammered. 9-1 in the 4th. Looking like 2 losses on OR for us.

Liberty won today... bad for Ole Miss and Indiana.

Central Arkansas down 2-0 top 7. They are home, so have one more shot. Good for Ole Miss and Indiana if they lose

Minnesota beats Ohio State 3-2. Not good for Ole Miss and Indiana

Can someone explain why we care about Indiana and Ole Miss?

We care about Indiana and Ole Miss because we beat them both and both are near the Top 25 in RPI. We need them both to get into the Top 25 RPI, because the selection committee places great value on Top 25 wins. We have only 2 right now, and historically, teams with 3 or more are much more likely to host.

Baylor loses 8-1 to Iowa State. Bad loss for Baylor. ISU is 23-29

This is probably bad for us, and probably doesn't help Ole Miss or Indiana, as Baylor is unlikely to drop out of the Top 25 RPI.
