I appreciate Craig's research. It adds to the perception. But it doesn't change the fact that sending Robe from 2nd to 3rd on a delayed break with 2 outs and your best hitter coming to the plate is moronic baseball. We run ourselves out of way too many scoring opportunities.
I'd argue in games that it mattered, our aggressiveness has bailed our opponents out a non-insignificant number of times. Whether it be taking the bat out of our hitter's hands or simply just running up pitch counts. We've been thrown out a handful of times in the midst of a pitcher throwing 4+ consecutive balls.
I can promise you that Deggs or the team could care less about some record. Just know that as long as Deggs is the HC of UL baseball that he will run the bases aggressively. Like it or not. His style hasn't changed since he was here the first time and it will never change. It's a fun brand of baseball when it's clicking on all cylinders though.
