I really need to try Central Pizza. I keep hearing it’s really good

Central is probably the best pizza in Lafayette. However, in my multiple trips there, the service and cocktails have been horrible every time. Bad enough for me to say something and never go back, which takes a lot.

Tastes like freezer pizza to me, but at least they support UL. My favorite in Lafayette is Alesi's. One of their regular waiters is always sporting P&G though. Even did it after the conference championship game in football we won (LSU not playing that day). Took a break from going there after that.

Sadly, Alesi’s quality went down around/during Covid. Still supported them when I lived in town, but they aren’t what they used to be.

Two of my sons have worked there with my 17 year old is still working the pizza room. Hell…he is working right now!

It’s definitely hit or miss since Covid. A meatball and jalapeño pizza from Alesi’s is hard to beat when they are on though. Been in that place so many times after UL games when it was packed in vermilion and white. Wish they supported back.

Man, how could I have forgotten about Antoni's. That's my wife and I's go to Italian place. Love their pizza.
