Tastes like freezer pizza to me, but at least they support UL. My favorite in Lafayette is Alesi's. One of their regular waiters is always sporting P&G though. Even did it after the conference championship game in football we won (LSU not playing that day). Took a break from going there after that.
I’ve never had Johnny’s..but I’m down to try it.
Don’t tell me there is someone who doesn’t like getting BJ’s
Since this thread is clearly off the rails, fast food chicken hot take: Popeye's is a sham. Tenders and fries are good. Outside of that pitiful. I've never met someone who wants a chicken leg over fried and the size of a wing's drumstick, but somehow people swear by Popeye's. Church's any day of the week for me, or if you really want somewhere to go next time you're in Monroe, skip Johnny's and get Bojangles.
Fun (unconfirmed) fact:
Johnnys was started by a married couple. Marriage went south, and so did one of the participants (can’t remember if it was the husband or wife). Whichever it was moved to Lafayette and started BJ’s, using basically the same recipes and ingredients.
While the logo is a “Black Jack” depiction, BJ’s actually stands for…
Better than Johnny’s
Try the Ragin Cajun at Buck and Johnnys in Pont Breaux...
Johnnie’s, in my humble opinion, falls between the old CC’s and Chuckie Cheese.
