I was told that Chipper's teammates were ragging on him. They said that Chipper has been healthy all season, but now he is too hurt to play this weekend.
His last four outings:

• 8.1 innings pitched
• 20 earned runs
• 9 BB
• 5 Ks

Ouch. I was rooting for him, but if you want to improve your craft...I don't think the spot to go is ULM (in any sport). Granted I don't know what kind of offers he had once he went into the transfer portal. Hope he puts it together his senior year.

I do not think it was a terrible landing spot for him. Coach Federico was the pitching coach at Southern Miss and was successful. However, it is the wrong place if you want to count wins and losses because your performance will have little to do with the outcome.
