Jackson Nezuh recorded his third quality start of the season, scattering five hits and fanning six batters, while Julian Brock posted his second career four-hit game in leading the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns to an 8-4 win over ULM in the Sun Belt Conference series opener between the teams on Friday at Lou St. Amant Field.

I wish someone else would have been sent out in the 9th with a 5 run lead, to save Christie for another rested outing this weekend, but I get the mindset of doing whatever it takes to win each game and then worrying about the next one when it gets here.

I suspect the game thread is short for many more reasons than because we won.
Last friday we won and it was the longest game thread of the season.

Playing ULM. Lost 4 of 5 conference series. Softball is wrapping up a regular season championship (good crowd last night). The game was pretty straight forward; no real controversy or excitement.

Average fans are worn out by May when the team is meh. Happens every year.

I was about to say there are very few comments after these wins because that is the expectations for this program, especially against ULM. Secondly, I really don't get excited about defeating a program that has not won very many games this season. I will be more optimistic going into the tournament if the Cajun's find a way to win the next 2 series.
