Tie this in with my idea of the "Event Ticket" strategy. Turn the Game ticket into a ticket to the all day Event, football game included. To enter the area within the fences around Cajun Field, you must have an Event Ticket. That's your attendance.

Great idea!! Yes that is smart. Also RFID chips you can purchase and put money on, that you can use to buy food or drinks not just in the stadium but anywhere while you at the event around Cajun Field.

Also have an happy hour one hour before kick off where drinks are half price!

Some people my not make it to finish the game lol!?

So the 10 hands (5 people) that are at the tailgate to prepare and serve food and beverages must now have a ticket to the game?

Get the new Alligator mascot and create another live alligator cypress lake near Cajun field. Bring out the biggest alligator we got to Cajun Field every game. Viewing of the alligators pre game will be a must before games.

The key to me is we have to appeal to the surrounding towns around Lafayette.

What do these towns do for fun? Well let’s do that at Cajun Field!!

New Iberia has a Sugarcane festival, well we need to have a Sugarcane festival at Cajun Field.

Breaux Bridge has a Crawfish festival well we need to have a Crawfish Festival at Cajun Field.
Good luck finding crawfish in September and October.

I am with you. But the people you are talking about would be way down the list.

For the most part people at those trail rides have no interest in sports what so ever and go in no stadiums at all.

I would start with the sports fan but the UL interest is low. It would be easier to sell the product if you can convince them to come in. You only have to sell the Cajuns because the football interest is already there. You don’t have to sell the sport itself.

If you are not employed or contracted by the university in any manner, then yes you would need an event ticket to enter the area.

For years, people here have been racking their brains on ways to bring the Tailgate inside the stadium. It's a fool's errand. You will never be able to do that, but we can make the Tailgate area part of the Stadium complex.

For most schools, this would be impossible. For us, it makes sense. Out Tailgaing is immediately surrounding the current stadium. It is compact. It is already separated from other areas by fencing and roads. We would be innovators, but aren't we known for being trailblazers in many other areas?
