This is why I would argue we should go all in on basketball in this NIL environment. We can't pay 22 kids top dollar for their football services, but we can pay three or four high level basketball players.

Basketball is more sustainable for us in the future.

I'm cool with not giving NIL money for football, we'll never sniff the playoffs. Get comfortable recruiting local kids to play in a crap stadium, have a few good seasons and attend a regional bowl game. The sooner we accept this, the faster we can become the Villanova or Gonzaga of the south.
Maybe I'm the only one with this opinion, but no thank you.

That is good to know. I’m really excited about this upcoming season and obviously the loss of Trey is a blow…just wasn’t sure how big of a blow.

The unit group that I have most questions about is WR.
    Jacob Bernard is a star.
Lance Legendre SHOULD be a star, but I need to see it before we crown him.
Pete Leblanc, if healthy, should contribute.

Other than that, we are young. Talented, but young. Lots of guys that need to prove it on the field. Robinson and Harvey Broussard will be interesting new comers to pay attention to.

Still, we lost a lot of experience the last 2 years. Need to stay healthy as a group this season.

WR is one of the few positions you can put a rookie (NFL) or true FR (College) in the starting lineup and get positive results.

    Robertson, not Robinson. My bad.

Neal Johnson is TE, but yea, he should get 15 targets a game. He's a nightmare mismatch.
Jayroe needs to put on weight but I think he can contribute at some point next season.

Because I made 5 times the money my head high school football coach made my first year out of high school? Because I made more money than Bobby Collins did at USM my first year out of high school? Had I known college football coaches would be making 10 million dollars a year & the offshore oil industry would be completely tits up by now, I would have gladly paid my dues & become a coach. You got any other idiotic comments for the board?

No tight end is ever gonna get more than 4 targets a game in a MD offense. Never has happened yet & never will.
