Same here. I was very disappointed in the people who failed to show. Props to those who did show for all 3. It’s been like that all season but with a ranked team in town I guess I expected more. At this point in the season I’m more disappointed in our actual attendance. The team hasn’t given up, some fans have.

According to those who have no idea about being at the plate in that situation.

The pitch was a curve ball that MIGHT have caught a piece of the outside corner and might not have been a bit high. In an AB where Roccaforte had fouled off a ton of tough pitches.

So yeah, it’s easy to say that.

Teaching that is great. When you get to higher levels, it’s easier said than done, with many factors making it so.

The result wasn’t good. But that was a pretty good AB. Sometimes you just get beat.

It’s not like he took a fastball right down the middle.

A positive thing today that I really appreciated. I was on my way home to take care of some stuff, and my wife text me a picture of my son and John Taylor both with big smiles. I’m sure that dude was pretty down after a tough loss, but it is definitely appreciated that those players still make time to take pics and sign autographs with the kids. As long as we have guys like that around in the program, especially guys like JT who has made it known that he is proud to be a Cajun, this program will continue to get my family’s money and support, even if the results aren’t always what I want.

Man some of y’all are so ridiculous.

It was 2 innings ago Roccaforte hit what would have been a walk off HR if not for a miracle play.

And the double play he got railed on for was a rocket…just right at an infielder.

And saying the pitching sucks. They just held a GREAT offensive team to 5 hits and 2 earned runs over 11 innings. They walked one batter.

Coastal won the game. They’re the #6 team in the country. And they won the series 2 games to 1, on a 3-2 win in 11 innings.

Saying the Cajuns suck and all of this other stuff is just stupid and embarrassing for the fan base.

I’m sure the usual suspects will jump all over this post but I don’t care. It’s SO easy to tell which posters have EVER taken an at bat or threw a single pitch in a baseball game above little league or at some podunk high school. The comments are completely foolish.

Hats off to David Christie today. That was a big boy performance. Blake Marshall too. There were a few fantastic defensive plays made as well.

That was a good series with a great finale. The better team won. And they are REALLY good. The Cajuns played well and went blow for blow with them and came up short. There’s really not much more to it than that.

All of the vitriol last weekend during the JMU series was warranted. This weekend…it’s just plain stupid.

He took strike three cause the guy executed a nasty pitch. The whole at bat he busted him inside with fastballs and sliders. Then on 3-2 he back doored him with a curve ball that he wasn’t expecting. It’s called a great pitch that may have been a ball or strike 50-50. His eye level was not expecting that pitch after being busted inside all at bat. Can’t blame Rocco for being frozen on that pitch tip your cap
