As just a college baseball fan, that’s about as good of a game as you’ll see. As a Cajuns fan, that was brutal. Can never boil a game down to single plays but the double play with bases loaded and no one out and gifting them a run are two things you just can’t afford to do against a top ten team. Unless I misheard him Deggs just said we are a Regional team. He said the same last year. I sure wish we’d quit painting ourselves in to one path to get there.

Losing a series 2 games to 1 with the finale a fantastic game in extra innings?

THAT’S what just happened.

“This team sucks”, “the pitching sucks”, “I ____ing hate this team” and whatever stupidity was said today.

Take a step back and think. Or actually watch the damn game. NONE of that was true today, other than whoever hates the team and that’s on him.

These kids are PAYING to play in this program. There are 35 of them splitting 11.7 scholarships, which means money coming out of their own pockets. If them winning 35 games this year, beating #1 and #6 in the country along the way induces HATRED…then maybe a glance in the mirror is needed.

Gosh, he’s just saying what the diehards need to hear. EVERY sport at every university has the same speech.

Anything less than a sweep next weekend may be a mountain too high.

Yep. They hit a game tying HR with 2 outs in the 9th inning.

And then robbed a game winning HR in the bottom of the 9th.

Kudos to them. That’s great baseball from a great team.
