I really hope, at some point, some guys that throw strikes, can get fastballs in on guys hands, and throw breaking balls and/or change ups down and away (depending on handedness) can be found….basically STARTING pitchers that aren’t out there with the goal of striking out every hitter they face.
Until that happens, it will be more of the same.
*this is about the Cajuns, but currently holds true at pretty much every college baseball program in D1
93-96 with a great breaking ball is all well and good (1) in the bullpen, and (2) if those pitches can be located with any consistency
Teams need guys with three good pitches to start so they can get through the order 2-3 times. We don't really have that. I watched Hunter Moody throw mid 80's FB and become All American.

Exactly what I mean. I don’t care if it’s 84 mph if all of the other attributes are there
