Lot of potential out there for the Robe Pitching Tree to blossom.

I'm good with it. What we have isn't working.

Do you remember the year we had 3 starters with ERAs under 1.00?

I'm not worried about it. Deggs doesn't have the big money to just go out and hire established names. He's going to have to keep tinkering with it until he gets it right.

I don't even know if Justin would be interested in leaving the softball program. I was just mainly expressing my level of frustration with the pitching staff. I normally never call for a coach to be fired, but Deggs will have to make some kind of change with pitching next season if thing continue the way they are now. Maybe he could bring in a young up and comer pitching coach might be an answer. (even if Wells stays) Something will need to change in the offseason. We have lost too many games when we scored an adequate number of runs because of the total collapse of the pitching staff.

I hope you are correct. I just have doubts about whether Thibodeaux will get it done. I had some reservations about the hire when they brought him in after being dismissed by Nichols.

Devey has his hands full investing, brokering RE, running restaurants. Most start coaching shortly after college. Lots of road time that is less than appealing

Wells never was dismissed and he never worked at Nichols.

Wells has nothing to do with the pitching staff.

NO NO NO AND NO. What this program needs at this point is to go out and find a "Real" college pitching coach with a good track record and PAY the man. Don't look for the easy way out regarding convenience or money. You wanna be big time, go get and pay a real pitching coach. It's a damn shame with our current offense that can explosive at times has to bare all the burden.

Was Des the easy way out? UL still runs off the USL system of keeping most hires somewhat local.

A pretty good one was recently let go at Ball State.

Being let go in the middle of the season does raise a red flag though.

I made a mistake and got the names mixed up, but I corrected it. I was thinking about Thibodeaux.
