We got our “La Louisiane” about a month ago. For S&Gs, I started counting the “at Lafayettes” in the publication. Got disgusted and quit.
I KNOW WHERE THE UNIVERSITY IS!!!
This is why we have to fight within. It’s identified right there when you open the cover in all the publishing credits. Yet we’re spineless, have to “at Lafayette” in every other breath. It’s a bad look, takes away from a fine publication. Reminds me of back in the college days of someone writing a paper that required a minimum number of words…Louisiana v the University of Louisiana at Lafayette…a plus 5 gain every time. Geeessshhhhh.
The “Louisiana” nickname has stuck. No politicians are going to take this on. Use the legal reference once in a release or publication and move to the simpler UL or Louisiana.
