Jessica Mullins shuts out Marshall with a 3-0 complete game.
That gives Marshall their 4th conference loss and will boost TxSt to give them a better chance of remaining in the Top 50 RPI.
Both of those things help us, South Alabama and Troy.

The Herd finally played one of the better belt teams and pitchers. Hope TxState wins at least 1 more this weekend.
I am pretty sure they will. If the Bobcat's pitching is 'on' and their defense plays as well as it did today, they will sweep.
And its in West Virginia.
Other games of note for the Cajuns: In conference we need TxSt, Troy and ULM to sweep their respective series for the best benefot for us.
Out of Conference we need McNeese to sweep aTm Corpus, to try to reach the top 50; LSU to Sweep Alabama, aTm to sweep Missouri and Ole Miss to take 2 of 3 from Florida.
Further afield, we also need LTU to sweep Charlotte, Rutgers to sweep Iowa, Baylor to sweep Iowa State, Florida State to sweep Notre Dame, UCF to sweep Houston and UCLA to sweep Utah.
We would also be hurt less by Lafayette if they sweep Colgate, but nothing they do can make playing them a positive.
Tomorrow has been changed to a Doubleheader beginning at Noon (CT). Weather expected in area on Sunday
Standings
Louisiana 17-2
South Alabama 15-4
Marshall 13-4
Troy 12-6-1
Texas State 10-7-1
James Madison 10-9
Coastal Carolina 9-10
Georgia Southern 6-13
Georgia State 6-13
ULM 5-14
Southern Mississippi 4-14
Appalachian State 3-14
James Madison and Appalachian State are also doing a double tomorrow.
You can see that South Alabama has taken over second place. I expect them to keep that by sweeping the rest of their games.
