You can’t blame this all on the staff. The staff went to pull him when he first showed it was hurting. Then Thuet waived the staff off and threw another strike and his arm let go.
It’s the perfect damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation.
I’m also way more of an old school approach to pitching though. If your arm is conditioned properly and your throwing regimen is adhered to then you tend to be more durable.
Also, there are higher risks involved with different arm slots for pitchers. So many variables go into it, sometimes it’s just “____ happens”.
