Cajuns just had what may be the biggest win of the season.
How about we talk about that?
Looks like Rocco is starting to catch fire. Veillon is on a nice run as well.
Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, it was nice to see some of those balls that have been being caught in the OF find some turf tonight.
The starting lineup has done a really nice job this week. Hopefully Robichaux can get back in a groove soon. The two biggest innings of the game started with 2 outs and nobody on.
Also, and a 4 spot in the first definitely helps, but the energy was excellent tonight. Hopefully that will carry through the weekend.
Energy was electric at the park tonight. I was worried it was gonna be another one of those weekends where things just didn’t bounce our way at the start of the game. Several balls in the top of the 1st weren’t hit particularly hard for Coastal but just found holes.
This is an excellent point. Because if there is one thing we can unequivocally say it’s that no one prioritizes the health of players over wins quite like youth baseball coaches. We definitely don’t have an issue in this country of kids with ruined arms by the time they are in high school.
The crowd was way into the game, which always helps. There were a lot more fans after a couple innings than at the national anthem.
I am really hoping Ben Robe can bust loose. His swing reminds me of Rocco's smooth, head still swing. He is too good at the plate to stay quiet much longer.
We handed CC a rare loss when they have 2+ bombs.
Theut injury is haunting me.....when he left game grabbing his elbow. Unfortunately his reaction was nearly exactly like my lefty son when he tore his ACL a few years back and again this year.
I hope it's nothing.....but what I saw was very bad Deja vu.
A typical bullpen session leading up to a return to mound will be 75+ full speed pitches and several of them before ever seeing live game action....58 pitches spread fairly evenly over 5 innings isn't the issue. It sucks but pitching arm injuries just happen.
All I know is that apparently he threw one too many.
