Saying Des should be fired after 5 games was almost as absurd as saying he was qualified for the job to begin with…almost.
Calm the natives
I wonder if some of those OG pitchers like Devey, Gros, Gabriel, Dohman, etc...would be able to compete in today’s environment having to worry about spin rates and technology. I’m not being serious by the way. Just advocating for pitchers over “throwers”.
I really think most of these new technologies have benefited the offense more than anything which is why you see higher era’s across the board.
I remember an interview in 2018 or 2019 with Robe on Ian’s show discussing technology and how UL was behind the 8-ball and needed certain things to keep up. Just wondering where we stand today compared to other schools. I don’t follow the latest tracking data like Rapsodo etc..but assuming we have the right stuff?
Yea I’m familiar as well, my comment pertains to how the game has changed and the fact that it seems to be benefitting offense. From the way games are called all the way down to how we now practice things have changed so much.
I’m also wondering if we have the same tech that an SEC program has.
