They did implement that rule a while back but not sure if it's still in place. The 2021 & 2022 All-Star teams were loaded with AAA/Major travel kids, many that didn't play LLL as 9 & 10s.

Probably went away once they realized they couldn't win with just true rec kids.

Why would one who really does not know want to come on here and post what could be characterized as disparaging information about a local youth organization which generally experiences a pretty good reputation?

If you are speaking of cjr3888 then you have no clue of his connections and appointments within youth sports. If anyone knows it is Coach Chris.

I’ve said this in air a million times, and I’ll say it again: Anyone who thinks he/she can do a better job than any of the officials working on any given night, he/she should sign up to officiate, get trained, and do the job. I’m glad this New Jersey Little League group is implementing this policy. Maybe it’ll get these parents will finally understand how difficult it is to work behind the plate and/or on the bases.

For what it’s worth: We lose somewhere around 40 percent of officials in their first three years because they get tired of being berated by spectators. That, combined with older officials retiring, leaves us with a major shortage of qualified officials to work at all levels. If something doesn’t change soon, we may find ourselves at the point where parents or others have to officiate games to make sure they happen.
