Pitching by committee the rest of the season per Deggs.

Let me put it another way. Can I expect to see Cooper Rawls pitch tonight if I happen to attend the game in person?

Can I expect to see David Christie pitch tonight if I happen to attend the game in person?

Media asked him yesterday at the weekly presser and he was non committal. We probably won’t know anything until game time.

I expect every pitching decision made during the midweek here on out to be totally predicated upon setting up Friday nights.

I wouldn’t expect that. If they bail on Rawls after last week, we have even bigger problems than we originally thought. And Christie is too valuable at this point in long relief on the weekends. Absolutely can not burn him on meaningless mid week games.

I guess with that said, can we assume that the previously announced Friday Night Guy named Cooper Rawls will not pitch this week until Friday?

He should not pitch until Friday but who knows with this coaching staff…

He’ll come in tonight in the 9th to protect a one run lead after whoever is on the mound at the time gives up a lead off walk, or HBP.

It’s like I’ve seen this movie before.

Based upon the postings of ManAboutTown, we should not see Rawls, Nezuh, McGehee or Christie either tonight or tomorrow night.

That’s my opinion. But again, who knows with this staff. Deggs almost sounded like he was having open tryouts to anyone who wants a weekend starting slot until further notice, so who knows.. I personally believe we should give Rawls a full week of rest and give him another shot against the covid chickens on Friday. But my thoughts on baseball or how to manage a pitching staff rarely line up with what we’re doing these days.

Should we rest Brock also until Friday?

    Oh, I see. You’re trolling.
