Thread: On tilt

  1. Default Re: On tilt

If pitching by committee means pitching by committee for all 5 games, then no pitcher should go more than a couple innings per game in any game. But you still need to try and get 5 or 6 innings with each of your starters on the week.

If that is the case, I could guess that he will have one of Rawls, Nezuh or McGehee starting all of these 5 games. Hell, Rawls could start 2 or 3 of the 5 and go only a couple innings in each, with Nezuh and McGehee picking up the other 2 or 3.

Na, just AnOrdinayFan participating in a little baseball talk before a very critical week for our program.

Wouldn’t you agree that every single poster here has to start somewhere? What makes today any different than any other day over the past 25 or so years that I have been enjoying Cajun sports.

Are you always this disrespectful to Cajun Fans who take a shot at coming here to post?

Absolutely! Have at it and enjoy. Why is this week critical for our program, though?

There was nothing disrespectful about my post. I’ve been posting on this forum for longer than I’d like to admit and everything about your line of questioning says “troll.” Why would you even suggest sitting Julian Brock this week?

If we get swept this weekend it may be difficult to even make the conference tournament. After getting swept last weekend it is looking more like the only way to make the post season may be to win the conference tournament. I guess I should have limited my comment to a critical point for this year.

It has been mentioned before how grueling it is for one player to catch every game of the season. In fact, Brock missed some playing time last week. I don’t think it is unreasonable to discuss whether he should or shouldn’t play the entirety of these two midweek games with how important this weekends series with CC may be to making the end of year conference tournament.

We are two conference games over .500 and one game from being tied for 10th in the league. I thought we needed to sweep JMU to have a chance at an at large bid. That is in the wind now getting swept. I think critical began Sunday.

We are beginning our new starter by committee game plan today. If we get swept with this new game plan B, what is Plan C? If we get swept two weeks in a row and we are out of plans we are likely in 10th plus place, its time to see who figures into next year's roster.

Yea but you said it in the context of platooning pitchers. If Ju needs a break to get back to 100% health, by all means, it should happen. But judging by his play this weekend, I think he’s in good shape.

There was no context other than just asking about Brock. Try to be nicer to Cajun fans like myself. It’s not much to ask.
