Lol it’s comical how much these people tried to hold on to this BS narrative. Who gives a ____ what our ERA is when we are playing the likes of USA, Marshall and stAte!! We play teams with any semblance of a pulse and they tear the cover off the ball. We do the opposite.

We hear the same for basketball. “But we won 19 games!” Yeah, when your common opponent on your schedule is Cupcake State.

I understand what you’re saying but this is not the time to rail on basketball or marlin. He just did what everyone has been complaining about him not accomplishing.

While baseball did win the tournament last year, I have a question for you. Do you think if the rain hadn’t played a part and it would have been double elimination like it was supposed to be, we still win the tournament? Do you think with our pitching that we would have beat Texas state or Georgia southern again?

It’s not about “railing” on basketball or Marlin. It’s about sunshine pumping weaknesses and excusing underperformance.

As for the tournament last season, I can’t answer that. All I know is that our team played at a much different level that weekend compared to now. That’s the difference.
