Poll should have an option for "other."

And I think the alligator concept and its color should all be individual options.

Agree. I might vote for a traditional Gator or even a Red Gator. Can’t vote for the white. Went with the Catahoula.

Not much on RP is anonymous.

I did not vote because there is no "other" option. Here is my opinion though:

    1. The Gator is OK but I do not like the albino part. It just seems kind of weird. I also think it would be fodder for a lot of smack as well as self-righteous do gooders who think it is inappropriate. If it were red, then maybe, but green would be too similar to the university of Napiers.

    2. Catahoula? Not really a fan as most people (other than Centenary University people) don't know what the hell it even is.

    3. Bulldog? La Tech... It is not very unique. I hate for those dog killers to have the satisfaction of saying that UL copied their mascot, even though that would really not be true. It has been like 50 years since a Bulldog was used at UL.

I am glad the discussion is being brought up and I would have not even commented on it, except the OP asked. I applaud the gentleman who spent his time designing this thing.

With my avatar it is no surprise I went with Gator. In a breakdown red would be my #1

It is obvious from this poll that we do not need a spirit leader.

An albino alligator would be kinda cool though.

No mascot is the choice for all the sit on their hands fans. LOL

    That's funny.

    "Get off my lawn."

"Sit down and be quiet ... another Louisiana first down."

"That Russell Heim guy is interfering with my enjoyment of the game."
