    Default ALS F5 Fundraiser-Cajun Focus

If you enjoy great food/drink, entertainment, and fellowship, please consider supporting the 2nd annual Lafayette Fin Feather Fur Food Festival (F5) on Thursday April 27th. All funds go towards supporting ALS patients as part of the Steve Gleason Foundation. Goal is to improve the quality of life for the ALS patients (top of the line wheelchairs for example). Event involves over 40 cook teams preparing outstanding fish, bird, or game dishes in a friendly competition. There is also a dessert category. All who attended last year agree the food is outstanding. The Cajun focus involves the auction items. Cajun memorabilia as well as season tickets in all our major sports are available for bid. Current Cajun coaches and athletes plan to attend. Some of our former athletes are also planning to be there. In the coming days you will hear Gerald Broussard promote the event in various radio interviews. Gerald also entertains folks by leading the live auction. Most auction items are of the silent variety. Site is Blackham Coliseum and time is 4 to 8 PM. Tickets are 40 dollars each. That allows you to sample as many of the dishes as you like. If interested in tickets, send me a private message. You can also purchae tickets online by visiting the following website; www.teamgleason.org/F5.

I deleted the link and described the event in detail. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is a little more information. First of all you do have the option of purchasing tickets at the door for the event. Also, there is still time to enter a cook team if you wish. There is a 400 dollar entry fee but you do get three tickets as part of that. In addition, sponsorship opportunities are still available. You can choose from a number of options if interested in being a sponsor. They range from 500 dollars up to 25 grand. If you pledge 500 dollars you receive the following: 4 tickets, your company logo on a video presentation, and one slide on a video presentation. Of course the perks increase if your sponsorship level goes up. Send me a PM if interested in these opportunities. Also, if you have items that you may want to donate to the auction list, please do the same. Your item does not have to be Cajun related of course.

Reminder this event occurs tomorrow. 4 to 8 PM at Blackham Coliseum. 45 cook teams participating. Lots of Cajun items already delivered here. If you see guys in a Steve Gleason shirt, those are the volunteers and I am likely in that group. Come say hello if you know me.
