While the RPI is all encompassing, they include enough other factors to create leeway, if needed.

Especially considering the SEC bias and control over the NCAA and selection committee.

If enough quality non Preferred 5 conference members schedule like UL and Texas State did this year part of that bias will go away. Now, scheduling like that puts you in danger of being like UCF, Liberty and Texas State are this year: RPI much better than record, which creates another problem.

No, the Cajuns hosted in 2012 ... as a #14 national seed. They had a #12 RPI ranking and the #1 NC RPI ranking. That was the first year I worked closely with Coach Mike on the schedule.
